OBITUARY - PEARL HELEN (BUSH) LANE

Pearl Helen Lane, 74, of 344 Todd Road, Kalama, died March 15 1994, in a
local nursing home.
 
She was born Nov. 4, 1918 to Clyde Webster and Antone Emily Bush, and grew
up on the La Du ranch alongside the Columbia River. Her father owned the
large land grant along the Columbia where Reynolds Metals, R. W. Paper Co.,
and Weyerhauser Co. are now located. She and her brothers and sister often
searched for arrowheads on Mount Coffin, the Indian burial site near their
house. She enjoyed telling stories of her childhood.
 
Mrs. Lane worked as an accountant in local banking systems for more than 30
years.
 
She leaves her husband, Rudy Lane, at home; two daughters, Kathy Woodward
and Chrissy Miller, both of Kalama; seven grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers David Clyde
Bush and Donald W. Bush; a sister, Charlotte Losey; a niece; and her
parents.
 
There will be a memorial service at 11 am Friday at McVickers Chapel on the
Hill with Rev. Don Tegarden officiating. 
 
A gathering will follow the service at the family home in Kalama.

Antonia Gertz and Fritz Blank of Germany. Toni was raised in Iron River,
Bayfield Co. Wisconsin, and later migrated to Washington and married Clyde
W. Bush.]
