SAWMILL RESUMES RUNNING

NMESKILL LUMBER COMPANY'S PLANT RESUMES OPERATIONS TODAY AFTER SHUTDOWN DUE TO LOST BOOM

The Meskill Lumber Company's plant at Meskill, resumed operation this morning, after having been closed down for a month, the shut down being due to the fact that the company's boom was recently washed away. F. M. Zufelt, manager of the mill company, has taken over the store at Meskill formerly operated by Postmaster John Robinson. Mrs. Zufelt has temporarily been appointed postmistress, but there is some talk of the office being discontinued.

The fact that Northern Pacific trains are now stopping at Mays, a mile beyond Meskill, indicates that the community will soon be on the railroad map, and it is thought possible that the Meskill postoffice may be transferred there. The Northern Pacific has already made inquiries relative to a station agent at Mays, preparatory to opening a ticket office there.
